Summer is just around the corner, and the Port Huron Parks and Rec department has already released their summer brochure, full of events and programs planned for the summer. Programs include their popular swimming and sports programs, as well as their free summer activities such as ‘Movies in the Park’ and ‘Rockin the Rivers’ concert series. Theatre classes will also being offered as well as a camping out with dad event. Toni George with the rec department, says the CSI class introduced last year will be returning this year with some upgrades. George notes that some programs have little fee and others have no fee at all. Registration for summer programs began on Tuesday for residents of Port Huron and Wednesday for those located outside of the city. More information can be found at: porthuronrec.com. or at the rec department located at Palmer Park, just off Armour Street in Port Huron.
