Rain Shortened Win

Miguel Cabrera delivered a three run home run just in the nick of time on Wednesday night, lifting the Detroit Tigers to a 6-3 win over the Cleveland Indians.  Cabrera’s blast came in the bottom of the fifth inning, just minutes before the game was stopped because of rain.  It never resumed, and the Tigers got credit for the win.  Ian Kinsler added a two run shot for Detroit, which remains one game behind Baltimore in the battle for the last playoff spot, with four games to play in the season.  The Tigers will wrap up their series with Cleveland on Thursday afternoon at Comerica Park.
