The New York Yankees scored early and often on Tuesday night, crushing the Detroit Tigers 13-4 in the first game of a three game series. Gary Sanchez hit a home run and drove in four runs, while Aaron Hicks added a home run and three RBI for New York. Nicholas Castellanos hit two home runs, including an inside the park homer, and knocked three runs for the Tigers. Game two of the series is Wednesday night at Comerica Park.
