Lions Open With Win

After a slow first half, Matthew Stafford got it going in the second half and the Lions stormed out for a 35-23 win over the Arizona Cardinals in their regular season opener at Ford Field on Sunday.  Stafford had 29 completions for 292 yards and four touchdowns.  Ken Golladay caught two touchdowns and Golden Tate had ten catches for 107 yards.  The Lions defense had three interceptions, including one returned 35 yards for a score by Miles Killebrew.  Detroit is on the road next Monday to face the New York Giants.
