A caution from Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette for car shoppers to be on the lookout for flood damaged vehicles. With recent heavy rains, the AG warns that flood damage may be hard to notice but could make for a problematic purchase. To check a vehicle’s history, buyers are encouraged to get the VIN number and trace its history through the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System database.
