It was eyes to the sky last night in the Croswell area, as an ominous funnel cloud was spotted around 8pm Thursday evening. According to the National Weather Service, the funnel was not a threat to the safety of nearby residents. Meteorologist Rich Pollman from the weather service office in White Lake Township says it was a result of developing showers that approached Lake Huron. Pollman says it is very unlikely that it would cause a tornado and even more unlikely that it would result in any damage. Sanilac County Emergency Management was contacted and the weather service says they did not issue a watch or warning last night due to the lack of severity.
