Semi vs. SUV incident injures two

Two people are recovering after A Tuesday afternoon crash in Port Huron Township. According to St. Clair County Sheriff’s Deputies, a GMC Arcadia was traveling northbound on Michigan Road when it was struck by a semi tractor trailer who was westbound on Dove Road. Witness reports indicate the SUV ran the red light at the intersection.  The GMC Arcadia was operated by 48 year old William Watson of Port Huron. The semi truck was registered to Panther Transportation of Medina, Ohio and was driven by a 61 year old Virginia man with a  57 year old Virginia woman passenger. The driver of the SUV and the female passenger of the semi truck were injured in the accident and taken to Lake Huron Medical Center for treatment.  Watson was later transported to a Detroit area hospital. Investigations into the accident are ongoing.
