Two people have been arrested following an investigation by the St. Clair County Drug Task Force into the sales of heroin in Cottrellville Township. According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, on Tuesday night around 6:00pm, DTF executed a search warrant at a residence in the 800 block of Oak Street in Shangri La Village Homes. The search revealed heroin, along with digital scales and drug paraphernalia. A 40 year-old Cottrellville woman and a 41 year-old man from Nashville, Illinois were arrested. They are expected to face charges including possession of heroin, maintaining a drug house and being a parole absconder. The St. Clair County Sheriff Road Patrol and K9 Unit assisted at the scene.
