The Michigan Senate this week approved millions of dollars for natural resource improvements across the state, including some funds for local projects. Legislation that would authorize spending around $28 million from Michigan’s Natural Resources Trust Fund, to support various projects around the state, was passed in the Michigan Senate on Wednesday. The money in this bill will help support six important projects in Huron, Macomb and St. Clair Counties, says State Senator Phil Pavlov, and enhance the quality of life for those in the area. St. Clair County will receive funds to purchase property for Pine River, Belle River and park lighting replacement for the city of Algonac.
