Phil LaJoy and Candice Miller
The Southeast Michigan Council of Governments has honored Congresswoman Candice Miller with a Regional Ambassador Award. SEMCOG’s Regional Ambassador Award is the highest honor given to individuals and organizations that contribute, in making Southeast Michigan a better place. The organization says Congresswoman Candice Miller is just that and has been a voice for regionalism at all levels of government. As a member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Miller has played a big role in ensuring that local governments working together have a voice in transportation decisions.She has also been a leader in both protecting the Great Lakes and promoting Michigan Industry. Also given the award was Canton Township Supervisor Phil LaJoy.
