The American Red Cross is urging the public to help save a life this spring by giving blood. Every 2 seconds someone in America is in need blood, that’s why the American Red Cross is always in constant need of donors. Many people don’t realize that red blood cells have a shelf life of just 42 days after donation. This spring, the red cross is reminding people to give the gift of life. Locally, blood drives will be held at St. Clair County Community Mental Health on April 12th, and at the Port Huron Blood Donation Center; located at 615 Pine Street in Port Huron on April 19th and 21st.
