Annual art competition begins anew

The Congressional Art Competition is underway this week with the winners set to be announced by Congresswoman Candice Miller later this month (April 23rd). The Congressional Art Competition has honored high school students, from all the nations congressional districts,for over 30 years. The contest is always open to all high school students and celebrates the talent and creativity of young local artists. It also celebrates the support and dedication of their teachers and community. This year, over 200 pieces of artwork from Michigan’s 10th Congressional District were entered. The public can veiw the exhibit at Studio 1219 located at 1219 Military Street, in Port Huron.
