Port Huron man facing domestic violence, weapons charges

A Port Huron man suspected of domestic assault and threatening violence with a deadly weapon has been arraigned after a Tuesday Morning incident. Port Huron Police Sargent Jeremy Young says the domestic assault was reported to the Port Huron Police Department who responded to a house in the 900 block of Stanton Street with thier Special Response Team. Inside, the department’s S. R. T. arrested a 32 year old Port Huron man and seized several firearms. The suspect, Joshua Devol Riley, was arraigned yesterday with one count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, one count of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of aggravated domestic violence, and one count of felony firearms. A preliminary examination for Riley is set for Tuesday July 10th. He is house in the St. Clair County Jail on a $75,000 dollar bond. Investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
