Thirteen students from St. Clair County RESA’s Technical Education Center competed in the national Skills USA national championships last week, with several bringing home accolades. Steven Kelly, from St. Clair High School, placed first in the nation in CNC Milling while Brian MacDonald, also from St. Clair High School, placed second for CNC Technician. Placing third in Information Technology Service was Kallen Filburn, from Port Huron High School. SkillsUSA National Championships is the showcase for the best career and technical students in the nation. More than 6,000 contestants in 98 separate events competed. The event was held June 26th through 30th in Louisville, Kentucky.
