One is dead and one is injured after a vehicle-pedestrian accident on M-46 west of Sandusky last night. Sanilac County Sheriff’s Deputies say two men were changing a flat tire on the side of the road when they were struck by a westbound vehicle driven by a 33 year old Sandusky man just after 11pm. A 21 year old man from Bad Axe was injured and taken to an area hospital while a 22 year old Cass City man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say the vehicle with the flat tire did not have it’s four way flashers on at the time of the incident. A car was also heading eastbound on M-46 at the time of the crash and sheriff’s officials are wishing to speak to anybody who may have witnessed the accident. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
