Thousands of dollars in cocaine seized in Saturday bust

One is in jail after a drug bust stemming from weekend traffic stop in St. Clair County’s Casco Township. According to sheriff’s deputies, a vehicle operated by a 46 year old Algonac man was pulled over during a traffic stop around 7pm this past Saturday near the intersection of Marine City Highway and Palms Road. A search of the vehicle lead to the seizure of cocaine and analogue pills and the suspect was taken into custody. Authorities also obtained a search warrant for the man’s Kenyon Road house in Algonac and seized additional cocaine. A total of $10, 500 in drugs was seized and the suspect remains in custody at the St. Clair County Jail where he faces multiple drug related charges.
