Michigan gas pumps reached their highest price of the year this past week according to the latest Gas Price Brief by AAA of Michigan. The Current statewide average daily gas price in Michigan is $2.91 a gallon. That’s about five cents more than this time last year and six cents more than this time last month. The most expensive gas is in Saginaw at $2.95 a gallon, while the cheapest is in Traverse City at $2.81 a gallon. Across the local area, Sanilac and Lapeer County pumps are at $2.90 a gallon, while gas is $2.88 in Macomb County, and St. Clair County pumps are on average, $2.92 a gallon.
