Port Huron Northern softball lost in the District Final at Anchor Bay on Friday, losing 4-1 to Lanse Creuse in the deciding game. Ally Shagena hit a home run for the Huskies, but Brooke Nadolny hit a two run homer run for the Lansers, while striking out 16 Northern hitters in the game. In the semi-finals, Nadolny struck out 16 Tars in a 6-5 Lanse Creuse win over Anchor Bay. Northern beat Port Huron 9-3 in the other semi-final. Miranda McNaughton hit a two run home run for the Huskies, while Riley Shagena hit two doubles and knocked in three runs. Emma Trombly hit a home run for the Big Reds.
