Xander Bogaerts had a home run and four RBI on Friday night to lead the Boston Red Sox to a 9-6 win over the Detroit Tigers, in a game that saw a two hour rain delay at Comerica Park. John Hicks had two hits, including a home run, and drove in two runs for the Tigers, who also got two hits and two RBI from Jeimer Candelario. Game two of a three game series is set for Saturday afternoon in Detroit.
