Port Huron Police are investigating a weekend incident in which a body was discovered at a construction site in Downtown Port Huron. According to Captain Marcy Kuehn of the Port Huron Police Department, a vehicle fire was reported at the foot of Glenwood Avenue near the St. Clair River Saturday night. The vehicle was not occupied at the time and is believed to have been rented by a Colorado man. Kuehn says the Port Huron Police department looked all night for the suspect, including searching the St. Clair River by vessel. Then on Sunday, the body of the man believed to have rented the car was discovered on the property of the Blue Water View Condo site by a construction worker. Authorities say the man had jumped from the eight story building, falling to his death in an apparent suicide. The name of the man is being withheld pending further investigation. Port Huron Police say it is unknown what brought the man to Port Huron.
