Father and son dead in suspected murder-suicide

Port Huron Police have released the identity of the six year old boy who was shot and killed Monday night in a suspected murder-suicide by his father. Six year old Weston Keith Lagrow and his father, 35 year old Robert William Lagrow, were found dead at their Port Huron home around 8:30pm Monday. Captain Marcy Kuehn of the Port Huron Police Department says it all began with a concerned phone call from the child’s mother, which prompted a welfare check. The two were found dead inside the home from gunshot wounds. Port Huron Police believe Robert shot and killed his son with a handgun before turning the weapon on himself. Kuehn says counseling is available through St. Clair County Community Mental Health by calling 987-6911. The incident is still under investigation and those with any information on the crime are asked to call the CAPTURE tip line at 987-6688.

Port Huron Police are investigating a suspected murder-suicide in which a six year old boy and his father were found dead. Authorities were called to a conduct a welfare check at a home in the 3000 block of Cooper Avenue in Port Huron around 8:30pm Monday. Once inside, police found a six  year old male and his 35 year old father deceased. Investigations indicate that the father used a handgun in an apparent murder-suicide. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death. Those with information on the crime are asked to use the police department’s anonymous CAPTURE tip line by calling 987-6688. The incident is under investigation by the Port Huron Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit.
