Statewide gas prices down about a dime

Gas prices continue to decline in Michigan, according to the latest gas price survey by AAA of Michigan. The auto club says Michigan drivers are now paying an average of $2.41 a gallon for regular unleaded. That’s about a dime less than last week, 24 cents less than this time last month, and 31 cents less than this time last year. Across the state, the cheapest fuel can be found in the Saginaw area where pumps are at $2.25 a gallon and the most expensive fuel is once again in Ann Arbor where it is $2.51 a gallon. Locally, Sanilac and Lapeer County Pumps are at approximately $2.39 a gallon. Macomb County gasoline is slightly higher, at $2.43 on average. St. Clair County area pumps are at $2.38 for a gallon of regular gasoline.
