A suspected drunk driver is believed to have led Sanilac County Sheriff’s Deputies on a high speed pursuit in Wheatland Township Friday night. According to the Sheriff’s department, deputies attempted to pull over a 2006 Pontiac for a traffic stop. The suspect failed to stop at the intersection of Deckerville and Berkshire Roads. Authorities entered into a high speed pursuit for twelve miles which ended on Snover and Ubly Roads after spike strips were deployed. The suspected is identified as a 50 year old Mississippi man and he is currently lodged at the Sanilac County jail.
