Port Huron City Council meets tonight where they are expected to schedule a special election this spring. On tonight’s city council agenda, council members will be asked to place a millage renewal on the ballot May 5th for the continued operation of the Blue Water Area Transit through 2024. The 0.617 millage is set to expire July first of next year. City council is also expected tonight to purchase about $42,000 dollars in playground equipment for Knox Field Park at 24th and Dove Streets in Port Huron. Port Huron City Council will meet at 7pm at the Municipal Office Center.
