Recreation passport prices to increase by a dollar

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is raising the price of their recreation passport from $11 to $12 starting March 1. It’s the first increase in seven years. The
$12 cost breaks down to $1 a month and it provides year-round access to more than 100 state parks and recreation areas, along with 140 state forest campgrounds, hundreds of miles of state trails, historic sites, boating access sites and more. The DNR says the $1.00 increase helps them keep up with inflation. For more information, visit https://www.michigan.gov/dnr
