Michigan businesses should cancel work in order for employees to fulfill their civic duty of voting… that’s what Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson is advocating. Benson says that November Third – or Election Day – should be a holiday for workers so they can go vote or assist with polls. State Representative Darrin Camilleri of Brownstown Township has a bill pending that would make election days from May, August and November state holidays.
