Residents in Fort Gratiot Township and the City of Port Huron approved a Blue Water Transit millage renewal yesterday. In Fort Gratiot Township, about 1600 yes votes were cast compared to 720 no votes. The millage passed by a similar margin of votes in Port Huron, with about 3600 city voters saying yes and 2600 saying no. In the Carsonville-Port Sanilac district, voters approved a bond proposal and also renewed a sinking fund. Voters in the Sandusky School District were to vote on an operating millage yesterday, however that election has been postponed now until August.
