Port Huron officials say they have reached a deal with a non profit which operates a downtown store to also provide ice cream and concession services in Pine Grove Park. City manager James Freed tells WPHM that Touchstone Services, which operates A Little Something, will be the recipient of the ice cream vending contract. Freed says a total of three businesses responded to the city’s request for proposal with Touchstone ultimately being chosen. He also says they will be responsible for cleaning the bathrooms and emptying trash in the park as part of the deal, at no cost to the city. Freed adds that operations could begin in a matter of weeks.
