Port Huron City Council is slated to discuss social districts and liquor licences at tonight’s regular session council meeting. A new state law allows for cities to create designated areas where to-go alcoholic beverages can be purchased from bars and restaurants which can be consumed outdoors in the social district. Port Huron’s social district could include sections of Huron Avenue and Military Street between Court and Glenwood. Council is also expected to approve a recommendation for a new liquor licence for 401 Diner LLC, owners of the Cavis Grill in Port Huron. Port Huron City Council scheduled to meet tonight at 7pm at the municipal office center.
