Man rescued from Lake Huron near Caseville

A metro Detroit man was was rescued from Lake Huron when his personal watercraft filled with water. The 23-year-old from Wyandotte was two and a half miles offshore in
Lake Huron in Caseville in the Thumb when he called for help. He said his personal watercraft stopped and was full of water. The Huron County Sheriff’s Department sent a patrol boat to get the man out of the water and recover his Sea-doo. He was not hurt. The sheriff says the man had his cell phone in a water tight case, which he says helped in his quick rescue.
