Gas prices hover around $2 mark

Gas prices in Michigan are up a couple of pennies on average compared to last week. Michigan drivers are now paying approximately $2.06 per gallon for regular unleaded. That’s still 10 cents less than this time last month and about 71 cents less than this time last year. At $2.25 the central and western UP have some of the highest prices in the state. Western Michigan has some of the cheapest prices at a $1.97. Port Huron area pumps are currently asking approximately a $1.99 on average for a gallon of regular gas.
