St. Clair County Sheriff’s Deputies say a Monday afternoon breaking and entering in Clyde Township lead to a shooting that seriously injured a suspect. It happened around 3:30pm at a location in the 6000 block of Lapeer Road. Authorities responded to a report of a suspect, a 27 year old Kimball Township man, who had illegally entered the property. The property owner, a 50 year old Port Huron man, confronted the suspect. The property owner stated to authorities that the suspect drove a vehicle towards him, at which point the owner shot multiple times at the suspect. The suspect fled the scene.
