The director of the St. Clair County Library system says branch locations could be opening to in person service later this month. Allison Arnold, speaking to WPHM’s Paul Miller this week, says she hopes to open up the county’s 11 locations in the next few weeks. “I do hope by mid-month…. that we will be able to open up to our next level,” said Arnold. Libraries in St. Clair County have been operating on a pickup only-only model for months now. Books can be requested online at scc.lib.mi.us or by calling your local branch. Arnold says in order to reopen branches, there will need to be mask participation and physical distancing. “We want everyone to know that the patron’s health and safety is paramount.”
