Wednesday marks the start of new coronavirus restrictions in Michigan. Bars and restaurants are ordered closed by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services for at least three weeks. Retail stores, gyms, barber shops, and hair salons can remain open if mask wearing and strict social distancing is enforced. Dr. Annette Mercatante, St. Clair County’s Medical Health Officer, says those businesses who are not following the state’s orders should be reported to her office. The complaint form can be found at www.scchealth.co. Casinos, movie theaters, bowling alleys and ice rinks are also closed as of Wednesday in an effort to curtail the spread of the coronavirus.
