Statewide gas prices down 5 cents compared to last week

Michigan gas prices have fallen approximately a nickle over the past week according to AAA of Michigan. Motorists are paying on average $2.27 a gallon for regular unleaded, down 5-cents from last week and up about a penny from a month ago. The most expensive fuel can be found in Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor, the least expensive is in the Traverse City and Tri-Cities area. Port Huron area pumps are asking just a cent more than the statewide average, approximately $2.28 on average.
