City of Port Huron Officials are still planning on some sort of festivity surrounding the Port Huron to Mackinac Yacht Race. Downtown Development Director Cynthia Cutright says it might have a different name this year but they are still planing for some sort scaled back event. “We hesitate calling it the Blue Water Fest this year… because it’s not going to look like the festival we’ve come to know and love,” said Cutright. Q Country 107 is planning to hold a pair of country concerts on Family Night and Boat Night. Cutright also says Operation Transformation’s Family Night activities could be making a return as well as the carnival. The 2021 Bayview Mackinac race will take place July 24th this year, meaning Thursday the 22nd is Family Night and Friday the 23rd is Boat Night.
