In less than two weeks time, hundreds of tennis players from across the Blue Water Area will descend on Port Huron for the Francis J. Robinson Memorial International Tennis Tournament. Now in it’s 64th year, tournament committee chairman Jim Charrron says after being called off last year due to the pandemic, some changes have been made to this year’s tournament.

“The tournament rounds will be in flight format, so everyone that signs up… they get to play as many as three events… singles, doubles, and mixed doubles,” said Charron. “You get a lot of tennis, and you get a tournament tee shirt with that as well.”

The cost is $40 to enter and the deadline for the Robinson tournament is July 23rd. The tournament begins July 28th and will run through August 1st at various tennis courts throughout the city. Registration forms are available at the Port Huron Tennis House in person or on their website.
