Gas prices in Michigan decreased by a few cents over the past week to a statewide average of $3.21 a gallon. According to AAA of Michigan, drivers are now paying a penny less than this time last month but still $1.09 more than this time last year. “With supply and demand largely in sync, motorists are beginning to see some stability at the pump,” said Adrienne Woodland, spokesperson for AAA. “While this trend will likely minimize fluctuations, high crude prices will keep gas prices elevated through this week.” Locally, St. Clair County pumps are just above the statewide average, asking $3.22 for a gallon of regular unleaded.
