Local man arrested in Washington, DC

A 55 year old Kimball Township man is in the custody of United States Capitol Police after illegally parking in front of the U.S. Supreme Court building Tuesday morning. According to a press from the U.S. Capitol Police, Dale Paul Melvin refused to move his parked Chevy Tahoe from in front of the Supreme Court and was arrested.  Crisis negotiation officers attempted to speak to Melvin, but he refused to talk. His vehicle was searched but no weapons were found. In August, Capitol police say Melvin also came to the Capitol Complex and made concerning statements. He is expected to face charges including Failure to Obey and Assault on a Police Officer.
