Council moves ahead with curfew age hike

Port Huron City Council is moving forward with updating their ordinances to reflect an age change in the city’s curfew. The ordinance currently states that no minor 12 years of age or older, but under the age of 17, shall loiter or play in public spaces between 11pm and 6am. Port Huron Mayor Pauline Repp tells our Paul Miller in order to be more in line with state law, that upper age limit will increase to 18 years of age. A first reading of the updated ordinance was held Monday, with a second reading and enactment likely at the December 13th City Council Meeting.
