Port Huron Schools will be implementing a district-wide masking policy starting Tuesday. According to a letter sent home to parents, all students in all grade levels will be required to wear a mask while indoors regardless of vaccination status. The decision, says Superintendent Theo Kerhoulas, is due to the rising amounts of cases and quarantines within the district and community. He states that the “additional layer of mitigation” that comes from masking is “necessary to slow the spread” of COVID-19. The masking order will remain in effect in the Port Huron Area School District through at least Friday, December 17th.
