As the the Silver Stick tournament wraps up next weekend, Port Huron will be throwing a party of sorts. January 29th marks the return of Chilly Fest in Downtown Port Huron but with an added twist due in part to the pandemic. Natacha Hayden is the Downtown Development Authority Director and says there will be no tent or indoor activities at McMorran this year. Instead, programming will be taking place outside at the Blue Water Area transit parking lot and at various participating restaurants and retailers.

“So we are doing this as safely as possible so that’s why we’re doing everything outdoors,” said Hayden. “Instead of coming inside a tent, we are doing a chilly crawl.”

Samples of Chili from nine participating restaurants will be available at various locations throughout Downtown Port Huron. There will also be carriage rides, a hot coco crawl, and the PoHo Hot Coco 10 mile, 10k, and 5k races.
