An Algonac man has died following a fatal boat crash Saturday night. According to St. Clair County Sheriff Mat King, it happened around 10:30pm offshore in a canal off of of Island Court in Algonac. The 67 year old man had been fishing with two friends when his 18 foot boat hit an object in the water, causing the operator to strike his head. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The two other occupants of the boat were not injured. The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office says alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
