You’ll soon be seeing more orange barrels lining a stretch of I-69 between Flint and Port Huron. The Michigan Department of Transportation is planning to resume construction that started last year on more than seven miles of I-69, from M-24 to Lake George Road in Lapeer County. Starting Monday, March 20th, drivers can expect disruptions on I-69 as well as ramp closures as crews work on the eastbound lane heading toward Port Huron. The project is also set to include the replacement of the Five Lakes rest area. The roadwork is expected to last until October, and the rest stop is predicted to be reopened in November.
