A Kimball Township man is dead following a rollover crash on Smiths Creek Road Tuesday evening. St. Clair County Sheriff’s Deputies say the 59 year old man was westbound in the 7600 block of Smiths Creek Road in Wales Township when he left he right hand side of the roadway and entered a ditch. The vehicle went airborne and rolled over several time with the driver being ejected. He was pronounced dead upon arrival by paramedics at the scene of the crash. Deputies say speed and a lack of seatbelt use are believed to be factors in the crash. Drug and toxicology results of the driver are pending.
