Authorities are accessing damage to a home in the 800 block of Stone Street Tuesday afternoon when an out of control SUV crashed into the front porch. Around 1pm, a 50-year-old woman from Port Huron crashed when her foot became caught on her gas pedal. The impact knocked down an outside post supporting a corner of the roof and destroyed a large section of the wooden deck.
No injuries have been reported. The home’s residents were gone at the time of the incident and the driver declined medical attention. Port Huron Police say neither drugs nor alcohol played a role in the crash.
