A 29-year-old is dead following a head-on collision on Range Road near Yankee Wednesday afternoon. According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened around 12:30. A sedan driven by the deceased was heading south on Range when it began drifting over the center line and was hit by a semi-truck traveling the opposite direction. The semi driver, a 61-year-old man from Mt. Morris, received minor injuries. The Names of those involved are being withheld until families can be notified and an investigation is concluded. Which is still being conducted by The St. Clair County Accident Investigation Team. As of now, authorities believe alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash. St. Clair County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted at the scene by St. Clair Fire and Police Departments, Tri-Hospital EMS, and Michigan State Police.
