Michigan pump prices are on the rise this morning. After weeks of steady decline, drivers around the state could notice an increase of about nine cents per gallon today. Taking the state’s average to about $3.72 for regular unleaded. Even though US inventories of commercial-use crude oil grew over the week, and demand for fuel has been down across the country, pump prices are rising with concerns over Saudi Arabia and other nations cutting production for the rest of the year and what that could mean for fuel stocks this coming fall and winter. Around the Blue Water Area though, $3.68 per gallon is about what drivers in St. Clair County can expect to pay on average this morning, up 14 cents from last week’s average.
