Three men are in custody following US Coast Guard reports yesterday morning that the trio were seen crossing the St. Clair River into the United States from Canada. According to the Port Huron Police Department, the men, later identified as Mexican citizens, used an inflatable raft and came ashore near the mouth of the Black River. Police spotted the suspects running north on Michigan Street near Grand River. After being detained, all three were given over to the US Border Patrol for unauthorized entry into the country. The Port Huron Police Department is taking the opportunity to remind residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
