The Michigan Department of Transportation will be upping the price to cross the Blue Water Bridge, but they are seeking input from the public before they do so.
MDOT is looking to raise the toll on the Port Huron side of the bridge from $3 to $5, but just how quickly they hike those tolls will be up to you. A survey has been released online asking those who frequent the crossing their opinion on two different tolling options. The first would be a $2 increase effective December 1st of this year, bringing the cost of crossing to $5-US currency. The second option phases in the rate hike, upping the toll by $1.50 on December 1st this year and then hiking it by another 50-cents on December 1st 2025.
